Sports… Play and Life Lessons
During my volunteering experience with the Italian organization Vento di Terra , I participated in organizing a football match for Syrian refugee children’s in Jordan, specifically in the city of Mafraq.
The main purpose of this activity was to provide a positive outlet for the children’s energy and to impart valuable lessons about the importance and meaning of teamwork, offering help to others, and mutual respect.

Teachers and volunteers joined in the play the children, which added a sense of seriousness and commitment to the activity, showing them that learning can happen within a joyful, yet structured, environment.

Through the spirit of the game, the children grasped a vital life lesson: that a loss is not a final conclusion, but rather a new beginning fueled by greater enthusiasm and determination. The football field became a classroom for essential life skills.
